Job Title: Junior Interior Designer

We’re looking for a friendly, forward-thinking and highly technical Junior Interior Designer to join our team based at our vibrant Notting Hill studio. The ideal applicant will be a real go-getter who is full of beans and happy to chip in with everything across the board. A great sense of humour is also essential.


Skills & Experience 

  • 1+ year’s experience of working on residential projects is essential.
  • Design degree or design diploma from recognised interior design school/higher education.
  • A good understanding of project processes from concept, design development through to
    site implementation.
  • Source products to a design brief, quickly and efficiently.
  • Some knowledge of FF&E sourcing and working within budgets.
  • Natural creative flair and able to produce presentation moodboards in-line with the House Nine aesthetic.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with good technical drawing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of PhotoShop and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with EstiMac (preferred but not essential).
  • Sketchup/Rhino skills (preferred but not essential).
  • Keep accurate and detailed specifications and costing documentation.

Personal Skills

  • Proactive, adaptable and flexible with a hands-on work ethic and a can-do attitude.
  • Extremely organised and thorough.
  • Imaginative and resourceful with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly when building relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel is essential.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Proactively provide design support and sound administrative assistance to the design team across projects as required.
  • Design and develop elements on projects under the guidance of a Senior Designer.
  • Work to agreed timescales.
  • Obtain pricing and details on products as directed and order samples.
  • Assist in the preparation of drawings, presentations and material specifications.
  • Develop project knowledge and technical skills.
  • Develop knowledge of the studio’s systems and processes.
  • Attend supplier meetings.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
