Job Title: Virtual Interior Designer

Location: In Studio 4 days a week / 1 day from home

Reports to: Head of Design

Employment Type: Full-time  


We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Virtual Interior Designer to join our interior design practice. In this studio-based role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design concepts, space planning, and styling guidance to virtual clients. Following initial consultation, you will interpret briefs and to the House Nine style, create compelling design solutions, and ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our online clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual consultations with clients to understand their lifestyle, tastes, and functional needs.
  • Develop and present design concepts using mood boards and layout plans.
  • Create floorplans, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) specifications.
  • Source furniture, materials, finishes, and décor items, ensuring alignment with budget and lead times.
  • Produce clear design documentation and shopping lists for client execution.
  • Collaborate with the wider design team to ensure consistency in brand style and design quality.
  • Manage client communications, timelines, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, digital tools, and product sourcing platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes and budgets at one time.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Interior Design or related field.
  • 2+ years of interior design experience (virtual or in-person); residential experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially in a virtual setting.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in e-design platforms or online design services.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, estimac).
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices and suppliers.

Job Title: Admin Assistant

Location: In Studio 5 days a week

Reports to: Design Director / Head of Design

Employment Type: Full-time  

We’re looking for a proactive, organised, and friendly Admin Assistant to join our interior design team. This is a full-time role based in our studio, five days a week - no remote working (but plenty of good coffee, creative energy, and a great team!).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the design team with day-to-day admin
  • Managing emails, calendars, and studio supplies
  • Helping with project documentation and client correspondence
  • Assisting with the online store — managing product listings, coordinating orders, and liaising with customers
  • Organising samples, deliveries, and supplier communication
  • Keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes

Requirements:

  • A super organised multitasker with great attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a friendly, can-do attitude
  • Comfortable working in a busy, creative environment

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with interior design processes or terminology
  • Experience using project management or scheduling tools (e.g. Notion, Trello, Google Calendar)
  • A basic understanding of e-commerce or retail admin (Shopify experience a plus)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • An eye for aesthetics and an interest in interiors or styling

Job Title: Ecommerce Store Manager

Location: In Studio 5 days a week 

Reports to: Design Director  

Employment Type: Full-time  

We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented E-Commerce Store Manager to lead and grow our online store, House Nine Collections. This is a full-time role.

You’ll be responsible for running the day-to-day of our e-commerce business, while also helping to shape its future - expanding our product range, refining customer experience, and driving sales.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing daily operations of the House Nine Collections online store
  • Updating and maintaining product listings, pricing, and inventory
  • Handling customer enquiries with care and efficiency
  • Picking, packing, and posting orders accurately and beautifully
  • Liaising with suppliers, makers, and couriers to ensure smooth fulfilment
  • Manage sample inventory to ensure that samples are kept in stock and up to date.
  • Ensure the storeroom is kept organised and functional.
  • Coordinating product launches and seasonal edits
  • Assisting in sourcing and developing new products
  • Creating strategies to grow and optimise the store's performance
  • Analysing sales data and making informed suggestions for improvement
  • Collaborating with the design team to align the store with our brand and projects

What we're looking for:

  • Highly organised, proactive, and full of initiative
  • Commercially minded and target-driven, with a focus on growth
  • Experience managing an e-commerce platform (Shopify or similar)
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • A good eye for design and appreciation for interiors and lifestyle products

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, or similar platforms
  • A background in interiors, retail, or product-based businesses
  • Basic graphic design or photo editing skills (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Confidence writing engaging product descriptions and social captions
  • Experience with analytics tools and e-commerce reporting
